With a little help from our friends…

I had a lunch meeting today with someone from the YMCA of Middle Tennessee, an organization that Alex’s Fund has supported a great deal over the last several years. He spoke of the impact Alex’s Fund has made by creating programs, projects and opportunities within the Y. In that moment it really hit me, the full circle impact of what is being done, 100% because of you, we are able to do what we do!

Alex’s Fund, his memory, the outreach, it all happens because you are willing to show up, to support, to buy a ticket, to bid on an auction item, to make a donation, to cheer, to laugh, to cry, to extend your time, your resources and a helping hand.

This January marks nine years since we lost Alex. It is a lifetime and a blink all rolled together and I am humbled and amazed by what I have seen take place around us in terms of support. Emotionally through the outpouring of love, physically through your volunteer labor, and financially through your generous donations. I was thinking back on the impact The Alex Le’Vasseur Memorial Fund has made, the lives that have been touched and changed, including our own and I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for making the time, year after year to support our family.

Jeffrey Steele & Friend’s is the single event we host annually on behalf of Alex’s Fund to support overlooked and at-risk youth in Middle Tennessee. It is the one night our entire family (who lives all across the country) gets to come together. We are so happy that we get to spend that time with you, remembering Alex and raising money to support some pretty amazing local programs and projects to impact the youth of our community.

There are still some seats available for March 7th, so please spread the word and help us sell out the Franklin Theatre again this year and join us in celebrating the life of a remarkable young man who left this world too soon.
